A calm dental practice · Zemun, below Gardoš

Dentistry that movesat your pace

At Verdent appointments are longer, every step is announced before it begins, and a raised hand always means a pause. We are especially here for people who are afraid of the dentist, for families and for anyone who values healthy gums over a quick fix.

About us

A practice built for people who are afraid

Verdent is a small practice in Zemun. We work more slowly than is usual, because we have seen how much it means to people who have avoided the dentist for years.

Booking

Book a first visit

At the first visit we talk about what you would like, examine your teeth and explain the options, with no obligation to start treatment.

  1. Tell us in advance

When booking, write what worries you or what helps you, and we prepare the appointment accordingly.

  2. Conversation first

For the first ten minutes or so we sit face to face, away from the dental chair.

  3. An examination, announced step by step

We examine your teeth, gums and mouth lining, announcing each step before we take it.

  4. A plan to take home

At the end you receive a written proposal with priorities, with no obligation to continue.

Patient experiences

What patients say after a first visit

They show the kind of impression a practice like Verdent aims to leave.

I hadn't been to a dentist in fifteen years. At the first check-up we talked first, and when I raised my hand twice, the dentist stopped and waited until I said we could carry on.

I wore my old denture for ten years and thought it just had to rub like that. The new one was made over several try-ins, and the two spots that rubbed in the first week were each adjusted in about ten minutes.

Frequently asked questions

The questions patients ask us most often

About pain, anaesthetic, duration, payment and the first visit. If you do not find your answer here, write to us or ask at your check-up.

All questions

Most procedures are done under local anaesthetic, so during treatment patients usually feel pressure or vibration rather than pain. Before we begin we check that the anaesthetic has fully taken effect, and if you feel anything you raise your hand and we stop. Some mild tenderness afterwards is possible, depending on the type of treatment and the clinical findings.

First we apply a numbing gel to the gum where the injection will go. Then we give the anaesthetic slowly with a fine needle, because injecting quickly makes it feel more unpleasant. After that we wait a few minutes and check the numbness before we begin; if it is not enough, we top it up.

A longer appointment leaves time for explanations, pauses and checking the anaesthetic, so nobody has to rush. Anxious patients often tell us it helps to know there is time. We adapt the length of each visit to the type of treatment and to how you are feeling.

We recommend a first visit once the first teeth appear, and at the latest around the first birthday. The first visit is short and is about getting to know each other: the child sits on the parent's lap while we look at the teeth and give advice on diet and brushing. Coming early helps the surgery become a familiar place before anything ever hurts.
